Kangaroos claim draw against Žižkov

A rather younger looking team took to the field against Viktoria Žižkov, and the start of the match was not the best for the men in green and white. Žižkov scored the first goal in the 5th minute. A crossed ball was deflected right in front of the kangaroos’ goalkeeper and he had no chance. However, the reply followed soon after in the 33rd minute when Lukáš Budínský scored the equalizer.

Later on, still in the first half, David Batek’s pounced to score and made it 2-1 to Bohemians. The wind was strongly affecting most of the match, but Budínský was in a positive mood and had one shot after the other but didn’t manage to find the back of the net.

Viktoria’s equalizer came in the 68th minute, when the ball crossed the line in strange circumstances following a corner kick. Even though there was big pressure from Bohemians players and also fans, no more goals were scored and a match finished up a 2:2 draw.

The youth players didn’t disappoint anyone after the intense program they had gone through and they showed a quality performance all around.

The draw took Bohemians on a second place of a table, and thanks to Jablonec, who finished on a first place; we wouldn't go further in a competition. But Jablonec is leaving for a fitness training camp and will not be able to play semifinals of winter Tipsport league. In this case, team on the second place is advancing into next round.

The management of winter Tipsport league decided that all the matches of Jablonec will be nullified. After those rearrangements, the team on first place is Hradec Kralové and Bohemians, again, only on second place, so this year’s Tipsport league is over for Bohemians.
