Bohemians draw home with Olomouc

Bohemians – Olomouc 1:1

Bohemians are still waiting for a first season win. The match played in high temperatures offered many chances, however the number of goals on both sides ended its count at 1.

First fifteen minutes were played in neutral zone but then a corner kick of Olomouc changed the pace of the game when Vašíček’s header aimed right in the goal behind Zlámal’s back.

Kangaroos had to catch up. Firstly, it was Pauschek – Mosquera. Pauschek crossed the ball and found Mosquera on the penalty spot. First touch by Mosquera wasn’t ideal and he lost the ball. The so needed luck came minutes later. It was 26th minute and a longer corner kick found Šírl, he sent the ball back into the penalty area and Šmíd equalized with a header.

Olomouc reacted immediately, half-volley by Petr was well saved by Zlámal. No more dangerous stuff happened till the end of the first half. The only exception was an overhead try by Čížek.

An enormous activity by Kangaroos was seen at the beginning of the second act. There was a great chance every second minute. Firstly, it was Čížek who didn’t hit the ball on the edge of penalty area, and so did Mosquera a moment later. Later, Gajič jumped high enough, hit a header but only in the middle of the goal where the keeper was prepared.
The away team didn’t want to stay back and showed some good football as well. Plšek appeared behind the defense line of Bohemians but his shot went well over the goal. Bohemians wanted to take all points and Acosta was really close to help them. He went on goal but at the last possible moment, his shot was blocked. Akulinin and Bartek went into game to strengthen the attack effort, but both, thanks to many interruptions of the game, couldn’t create any chance. The match ended with a draw 1:1. Kangaroos will have to wait more for a first win of a season.
