Bohemians draw against Brno

Bohemians – Brno 1:1

The beginning of the match, as well as the most of the first half was in hands of Bohemians. It was obvious, how much the current situation worries them.

Bartek went through the middle of the pitch in 7th minute, sent a pass to Jindřišek who crossed the ball to Pauschek. He gave it to Schick from a first touch but his try went just wide from a right post.

Similar situation happened in 15th minute. A ball behind defense got to Schick, he passed it to sprinting Mosquera who finished it in a same style as Schick before, just wide.
But three minutes before, it was Lutonsky for Brno, who could have scored. He managed to get behind the defense but nobody reached his pass and the ball ended in hands of Zlámal.

Kangaroos held the ball more often and they were more dangerous but it didn’t lead to any of 100% chances. However, it was 37th minute when the stadium was left breathless. Luckily the goal tries by Brno ended well for Bohemians. Kerestes got the ball in front of the keeper but couldn’t finish it from first touch and Zlámal secured his second. Then it was Lutonsky who fell in the penalty area and was trying to get a penalty kick, but referee stayed calm.

Bohemians entered the second half similarly, but Brno appeared first in bigger chances, without a goal scored however.

Bohemians players couldn’t pressed the ball behind the back of the away keeper not even in 60th minute. Mosquera’s try next minute wasn’t also successful.

And then, what everyone was worried about, came. Brno scored in 75th minute. Řezníček got the ball behind defense, sent a pass towards the penalty spot from where Lutonsky scored.

Kangaroos, however, came back to game quickly. They started a counterattack, a deflected cross ball got to Hubínek who sent a left foot shot, Melicharek had no chance to save it and Kangaroos equalized.

Bohemians could have taken the score on their side. The oldest player in the squad got the ball into an empty area, Čížek ran towards the keeper, tried to lob him but the ball went too far and missed the open goal. Mikuš was next to appear in a chance, but his long range shot ended on the cross bar.

The guests from Brno got to know the eagerness for a goal by Bohemians and tried to split the game into pieces. It did work out and thanks to Melicharek, they are happily leaving Ďolíček with a draw.

The statistics speaks clearly for Bohemians but they still haven’t tasted the win.
