First match of 2016 brought a point from Olomouc

Olomouc – Bohemians 2:2

Three newcoming players started in a first line up for Bohemians: Čögley, Švec and because of an injury of our captain also Tomas Hradecký. Prošek was on a bench for a first time as well. Krch took the captain armband.

The beginning of the match started in a slow and careful pace. Kangaroos had more from the game but the ball was in the middle of the field for most of the time. But the first chance came from Olomouc during 14th minute. Hála got into the penalty box where Gajič missed the ball, Čögley replaced him and saved the situation.

Olomouc was next again. Firstly, Navrátil hit it over from a penalty spot and then Švec was saving the next try on the goalline. When Bohemians survived even next chances by Navrátil and Rode, Acosta showed his skills and Buchta had hard times to deflect the ball for a corner at least.

But what didn’t work for Acosta, worked for Schick. Mosquera ran through half of the field and passed the ball to Schick. He managed to get rid of the defender and with a shot on the back post scored a goal and brought Bohemians on a winning side.

The start of the second half can be compared to a thriller for Bohemians. Ordoš scored an equalizer three minutes since time and Mahmutovič scored another just three minutes later. Olomouc came back from behind and the match got absolutely different pace.

Bohemians had to think more offensive which paid off by time. Mosquera was again in a role of assistant in 69th minute. The Colombian found Jirásek in a penalty area, he crossed the ball towards the back post where Acosta was prepared. Acosta scored an equalizer with a slide tackle and Bohemians supporters who came in big numbers were in euphoria again. The game was then split with many substitutions and Kangaroos were those who were choosing the pace of the match.

Players of Bohemians pushed their opponent on their half and tried to achieve the winning goal. It didn’t happen at the end and they can be happy that they are bringing a point from Olomouc. It was added time when Olomouc got a ball from a counterattack. Ordoš got it just outside the penalty area, took a shot and Zlámal deflected the ball on a crossbar and it ended just centimeters in front of the goal line. Bohemians bring an important point home and continue the race for saving the league.
